If you have identified a research area or laboratory that matches your interests, you may contact the relevant faculty member in advance to discuss your research interests and potential opportunities.

However, prior communication with a faculty member does not guarantee admission.

Regarding the admissions process, we have our own guidelines.

Applications must be submitted through our university website, and some required documents must be submitted offline.

2. GKS: This is a scholarship process run by NIIED.

* Applications for the GKS process are not available on our university website.

3. K-GKS: This is a scholarship selection process run by Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, and there are no separate track categories.

Yes, if you meet the applicable exemption requirements.

If you wish to demonstrate that your degree program was conducted entirely in English, you must provide an official document confirming that all courses in the relevant degree program were taught in English.

The document should be officially issued and certified by the appropriate authority at your university.

If the applicant’s institution does not have such an official document,

he/she can submit other documents (e.g. transcript, enrollment certificate, etc.) with the institution’s original seal

and the following phrase: “It is hereby verified that the instruction language of (institution’s name) is English.”

No other English Proficiency Tests can substitute the English Proficiency Tests listed previously.

You have to acquire the minimum score of at least one of the previously indicated tests.

However, if you do possess other English Proficiency Score or certificates, you can submit them along with the compulsory requirements.

ITP held by other institutions is not acceptable when applying to POSTECH’s graduate program. Only that hosted by POSTECH is valid.

Since POSTECH’s language of instruction is mainly English, prospective students must reach an average level of English proficiency.

Therefore, all applicants are required to prove their English proficiency through an official test or either a document that proves the instruction language of applicants’ institution.

The documents applicants uploaded online will be printed out by the Graduate Admission Office.

Therefore, applicants only need to send the aforementioned documents listed in “Submit Required Documents by Post.”

Applicants who are in their last semester of bachelor’s or master’s degree are eligible of applying for the enrollment of the following semester

under the condition that their bachelor’s/master’s degree will be awarded before they enroll at POSTECH.

If your final degree certificate has not yet been issued at the time of application, you may submit a certificate of expected graduation and an academic transcript in accordance with the Admissions Guide.

Admitted applicants must submit their final degree documents by the designated deadline. Failure to submit the required final documents may result in cancellation of admission.

As educational systems and degree structures vary by country, eligibility cannot always be determined solely based on the title of a degree.

If your degree structure or qualification is substantially different from a standard bachelor’s or master’s degree, please contact the Admissions Office with relevant supporting documents before applying.
